CCBR – SYNARC Reorganizes to Enhance Scientific and Service Excellence in Clinical Trials
COPENHAGEN / SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – June 6, 2008.
CCBR – SYNARC, the world's leading provider of centralized imaging, molecular marker analyses and multinational clinical research facilities to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, announced today a major change in its capital structure, led by a Group of Danish investors, including Nordic Bioscience A/S and Den Danske Forskningsfond.
Following this transaction, Mr. Hervé Girsault has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Mr. Girsault brings more than 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical and biotech industry primarily acquired at Novartis where he held the position of General Manager of Novartis in the Benelux and senior positions in Merger and Acquisition and Business Development in Basel Headquarters. Prior to joining Novartis, Mr. Girsault was the General Manager of Gerber Products Company in Europe.
Furthermore, a new Board of Directors has been elected which includes two of the original founders of Synarc, Dr Claus Christiansen (Chairman) and Dr. Harry K. Genant, and Mr. Henrik B. Sanders, a partner at Mazanti-Andersen & Partners, a law firm based in Copenhagen.
